Construction Lead (CQM Team)
Lead site quality across European Data Centres, driving excellence, mentoring engineers, and shaping standards while influencing projects, clients, and long-term operational quality.
About the Job
We are seeking a senior construction quality leader to take ownership of our European Data Centre site quality function. This strategic leadership role sits at the heart of our operations structure and reports directly to the Deputy COO, giving the Lead Construction Quality Management the authority to shape how site quality is delivered across the business.

The successful candidate will strengthen our on-site quality assurance approach across Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), First of Kind (FOK) installations, benchmarks, and L1–L4 commissioning activities, acting as the senior quality representative during critical project milestones and key client engagements.
While leadership and strategic planning are central to the position, the role also requires hands-on site engagement during critical visits and major commissioning events, ensuring the highest standards of delivery across European Data Centre projects.
About You
This role offers a hybrid remote arrangement in Ireland, requiring attendance at the Dublin office as determined by the team's schedule.
Trades background as a qualified Electrician or Plumber/Pipe Fitter with minimum of 6 years post qualification experience with proven leadership experience.
Strong experience within large-scale construction environments (data centre experience highly desirable).
Deep understanding of mechanical and electrical installations and commissioning processes (L1–L4).
Experience attending and overseeing FAT and SAT procedures.
Proven leadership experience managing technical or site-based teams.
Excellent written reporting capability and strong verbal communication skills in English language.
Willingness to travel across Europe approximately 2–3 days per week. It is essential that the candidate must be able to travel freely in Europe and Nordic countries.
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
Experience working directly with hyperscale clients and major General Contractors.
Experience developing or implementing structured quality management systems.
Your Day-to-Day Activities
Provide strategic leadership of the Construction Quality Management function across European Data Centre projects, driving quality excellence across multiple live sites.
Lead, mentor and coordinate a specialist team of travelling Site Engineers supporting projects across Europe.
Forecast and plan weekly site visits with Mechanical and Electrical Project Leads to ensure proactive attendance at critical project milestones.
Oversee and standardise quality inspections across FAT, SAT, First of Kind (FOK) installations, benchmarks, and L1–L4 commissioning activities.
Review and validate the quality of site reports, snag lists and defect reports issued to internal teams, clients and General Contractors.
Act as the senior quality representative and primary escalation point for client and GC site teams during key visits and quality matters.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying recurring quality trends and feeding insights back to design and delivery teams.
Optimise team utilisation, travel planning and project coverage across multiple concurrent European programmes.
Strengthen quality reporting processes, documentation standards and overall site quality governance.
Provide hands-on leadership during critical visits, major installations and commissioning events while representing the business at senior-level project engagements.
