About the Role
Ethos Engineering is looking for a technically skilled and motivated Electrical Site Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of high-profile projects across Ireland and EMEA. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical background who thrives in a site-based environment and is eager to work on a diverse range of projects including data centres, commercial builds, industrial developments, and fit-outs.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality electrical installations that align with design intent, safety standards, and project timelines. Flexibility and willingness to travel are essential, as this role will involve working across multiple sites throughout Ireland and potentially Europe.
About You
Degree qualified or certified in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Proven experience in electrical site engineering, preferably within building services
Strong understanding of electrical systems: LV/MV distribution, emergency lighting, cable containment, fire alarm systems, etc.
Confident communicator with excellent coordination and reporting skills
Detail-focused, organised, and able to manage deadlines on active construction sites
A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
Comfortable mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Full driving licence and flexibility to travel across project sites in Ireland and EMEA
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Installation & Quality Oversight
Review and interpret electrical design drawings, specifications, and installation benchmarks
Attend FATs and witness testing to ensure products meet technical requirements
Carry out system walkdowns, snagging inspections, and maintain snag/defect lists
Check all electrical installations align with design intent, safety codes, and industry best practice
Oversee QA/QC of electrical packages, including LV/MV systems, emergency lighting, fire alarm, security systems, and containment
Site Coordination & Reporting
Liaise with electrical contractors, subcontractors, and commissioning teams
Maintain a detailed site diary, record progress, and escalate risks or issues to project leads
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure timely reporting to project planners and managers
Use tools like ProCore and Zutec for documentation, variation orders, and compliance uploads
Ensure site documentation, records, and installation drawings are up to date and accurate
Safety, Leadership & Team Support
Adhere to and enforce Health & Safety regulations across all site activities
Support the site safety manager in implementing safe systems of work
Develop strong professional relationships with site personnel and stakeholders
Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing
Contribute to team development and continuous improvement across project delivery.
